Meet Archie, the archives’ newest mascot and easily our most enthusiastic staff member. Born in 2022, this bright orange cat has already established herself as an essential part of daily operations. As our Senior Feline Preservation Specialist, Lead Pest Prevention Officer, and Official Morale Manager, Archie keeps the archive free of mice and insects—no harsh chemicals or unsightly traps required. Between her patrols, she also provides quality assurance in the form of purrs, lap warmings, and gentle supervision of anyone using the copier. Dedicated, determined, and only occasionally distracted by sunbeams, Archie hopes to see you very soon!
